Well 2010 slipped away almost as fast as our cash.

Work on the boat stopped towards the end of 2010, we went back to normal life … almost.

But its not in my nature to give up so easily.  If we cant afford to pay someone else to do it, then we will do it ourselves.

Its actually fun working on boats.  I have always liked working with my hands.  I could never make any money doing it before, but perhaps if we did the work ourselves we could ‘save’ the money we would not need to find to pay someone else.

The boatyard was OK about it.  They are fairly relaxed and happy to see people like us fumble around trying to build boats.

They even help with advice sometimes.  I help them with computer problems, they help me with tips on how to do it all.
