Some days it seems a lot gets done in a short time. At other times when you look around at the end of a days work its hard to see where you’ve been.
Today was one of those sort. It was mainly consolidating the work on the forward cabin to strengthen it and lay the foundation for the hatch and cabin top.
At least we got the wave breaker more or less finished, and likewise the sides and forward part of the cabin.
The vertical section of ply in the photo below will support the forward edge of the hatch and a laminated cabin top beam just forward of that.
The boys at the boatyard say I’ve got the save breaker angled wrong. It should be leaned forward to catch the water and force it out the scupper.
I was wondering about that, but decided on the backward angle because it meant I could build it in as part of the cabin extension.
Probably wont make a lot of difference, its not high enough to catch much water anyway
