With the propellor shaft fitted in we can now fit the motor. The motor is going to be fitted into a box that will almost completely isolate it from the rest of the boat.
We don’t want oil, diesel, noise or fumes from the motor filling the boat. Diesel fumes permeating the cabin are one of the things that make boats stink so much.
In preparation the main cabin has been cleaned out and painted. The motor is hanging more or less in place while the lower part of the engine box is being fabricated.
After all that painting it was time for an afternoon off. Fish and chips on the cliff followed by a swim on the beach seemed like a good choice.
