Framing for the fuel tank

Back into the boat again after the holiday in Queensland.

I still cant get over the weather there in winter – every day is just a perfect 25 – 28 degrees with a light 5 – 10 knot south easter.  The catch is in summer – it gets over 40 degrees each day with humidity around 90%.  AND they get 1000mm rain in the three months December to March from tropical lows.

Anyway, the framing for the fuel tank and battery is underway.  This has to be very strong because they are both heavy items and the last thing we need is to have batteries or fuel tank smashing their way through the boat in rough weather.

The batteries and fuel tank all fit under the cockpit floor.

Looks like a childs playpen, but its built to contain the fuel tank

The fuel tank is in the center of the boat with the batteries on each side

The tank is under the cockpit with access from the front
