The hole in the foredeck revisited

This is just about the last photo of the hole in the foredeck (I hope).  All the external  construction is finished, just waiting for the epoxy resin on the glass matting to dry so it can be sanded back then the whole area painted..

I think I am getting better at the epoxy / glass matting thing.  The trick seems to be to spend the necessary time cutting the cloth so that it fits neatly around corners and edges.

I still have a tendency to use to much resin tho – it all runs everywhere and that means more work sanding and cleaning up afterwards

Breathe, breathe in the air
Don’t be afraid to care
Leave, but don’t leave me
Look around and chose your own ground
For long you live and high you fly
And smiles you’ll give and tears you’ll cry
And all you touch and all you see
Is all your life will ever be

A neater job this time with the resin

Run, rabbit, run
Dig that hole, forget the sun
And when at last the work is done
Don’t sit down, it’s time to dig another one
For long you live and high you fly
But only if you ride the tide
And balanced on the biggest wave
You race toward an early grave.
