Got a confession to make here. We got the water tanks wrong the first time around. They were to big and to far forward.
It meant the trim of the boat was all out, with to much weight forward of the balance point. I tried to balance them up with batteries well aft, but in the end decided to bite the bullet and get it right.
We pulled them out and cut them in half and mounted them transversely just forward of the mail bulkhead.
This puts them just forward of the balance point. The batteries will go under the floor just aft of the balance point so the fore – aft trim of the boat should be maintained.
We have about 700 litres or 130 gallons of water. Should be enough.
